Organization Background

Spiritual Heritage Education Network Inc. (acronym: SHEN) is a non-profit network of educators, students and others interested in creating community through a global, intellectual interpretation of our common spiritual heritage.

SHEN will aim at promoting the education of our underlying oneness among university students enabling us to celebrating diversity in the light of our shared humanity as we build unity, harmony and coherence in our diverse communities.

The organization doesn't promote anything that hasn’t been proven scientifically and/or conflicts with known disciplines of secular knowledge. Think of SHEN as a meeting point of science and religion. With our approach to spirituality via stress management enhancing focus, attention and learning ability, and talks, workshops, seminars and courses, we plan on educating our members on globalizing their minds.

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the chapter, and promoting SHEN’s activities on campus.

Responsibilities:

- Performing executive and administrative duties to ensure club maintains status in ‘school’

- Ensuring that Chapter complies to student club rules of the university

- organizing seminars, presentations, TRAIN YOUR BRAIN stress management workshops, courses on universal spirituality and human values

Skills:

-excellent verbal and writing communication skills.

-Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects.

-strengths must include cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse community in multicultural settings.

-Goal-driven leader who maintains a productive climate and confidently motivates, mobilizes, and coaches volunteers to meet high performance standards.
