Technology is fast converting the world into a global village, but are we ready for building a just, sustainable, and peaceful global community? Recent and past human history seems to suggest that our inner spiritual development has not kept pace with the external development that technology has enabled. Our hearts are as far apart as ever, if not even farther.

We need to inspire in all a new sense of global community and shared responsibility for the wellbeing of the human family and the larger living world. Spiritual Heritage Education Network Inc. (SHEN) is a local K.W. initiative with this global goal. It proposes to contribute towards this goal through education in universal spirituality.

Those who have dived deep in human spirituality agree that beneath the surface we are “one human family and one Earth community”. Everyone is a walking laboratory to personally discover this finding.

Shiv Talwar has been a long time member of the SHEN team to develop a spiritual education curriculum that SHEN proposes to deliver in distance education mode. In this seminar, he shares the curriculum details and some of the underlying thought process. Shiv presented this seminar at the University of Waterloo to an audience of 11.
