This event is a two day reflective conference of local, national, international and intergenerational scope with wonderful speakers. It features presenters from Canada, United Sates and elsewhere. You are invited to come and meet the others interested in all-inclusive spiritual education to integrate humanity bridging the chasms between our hearts and minds.
The theme of the 2018 SHEN is Conference is Cultivating the Spirit of Love.
The following are some questions we will explore together:
- What does 'Love' mean to each of us?
- Love for whom or what?
- What do you wish to express by it?
- Is love a natural phenomenon?
- Is love a deep feeling of warmth and care arising out of kinship?
- Is love limited to our kin only?
- How do we extend love to a commonality defining "our people"?
- Is love limited to "our" people?
- How do we define "our" people?
- How can it be cultivated?
- What does cultivation of love mean?
- Why is it an essential thing to do?
- Can we love all existence?
- Can love of all existence be real, an imagination, a weak “implicit feeling” or an insight?
- How is love different from a "feeling"?
- What is this an "implicit feeling"?
- How do we "feel" it?
- How do we grow this "implicit feeling" into an insight?
- Is this insight a matter of faith, belief, feeling, thinking, intellect, logic and reason?
Let us together explore such questions at this conference.
All are welcome!
