Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Co-operation :
The IndoSoviet Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation was a treaty signed between India and the Soviet Union in august 1971, is a unique document that not only epitomized the special relationship between India and the then USSR, but also acted as a guarantor of regional peace. The treaty may have been replaced by its modern version, but it’s legacy continues to underpin the burgeoning strategic partnership between India and Russia. that specified mutual strategic cooperation. The treaty was later adapted to the Indo-Bangla Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Peace in 1972.

Seminar & Photo Exhibition- Russia and India main milestones in the History of Development of Relations

48th years after the Indo Soviet Friendship Treaty 9th August 2019 in New Delhi :
To mark the “Celebration of 48th Anniversary of Soviet –Indian Treaty of Peace, Friendship & Cooperation” Seminar & Photo Exhibition- Russia and India main milestones in the History of Development of Relations” was organized on August 9th , 2019. The event was organized by jointly India-Russia Foundation, New Delhi, Russian Centre of Science & Culture, 24, Ferozshah Road, New Delhi-110001 (http://ind.rs.gov.ru/%20%20/about)

The Seminar & Photo Exhibition- “Russia and India main milestones in the History of Development of Relations” was inaugurated by Lightening the inauguration lamp by Mr. Fyodor Rozovskiy, Representative Russian Centre of Science and Culture, New Delhi , Mr.J.P. Agarwal former M.P, Dr. Rajesh Mehta and other Russian & India dignitaries on the Dias.

The opening address was delivered by Mr. J.P. Agarwal former M.P. He spoke on the history of Soviet –Indian Treaty of Peace, Friendship & Cooperation” and also on the Russia Strategic Partnership He also explained about the Russia has been a longstanding and time-tested partner for India on all the occasions. The development of India-Russia relations has been a key pillar of India's foreign policy.
Final speech and conceding remarks was given Mr. Fyodor Rozovskiy, Representative Russian Centre of Science and Culture, New Delhi on the significance of Soviet –Indian Treaty of Peace, Friendship & Cooperation and Photo Exhibition- Russia and India main milestones in the History of Development of Relations was declared open .

The GHA declared 2019 by the “Gandhi World Year” in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi birth in November 2018. GHA prepared and published in July a unique international peacemaking book/primer “Gandhica” by 82 co-authors (including 3 Nobel laureates and President of India) of 25 countries in Russian and English, 240 pages
