Applying Health Sciences Non-Medically to a state of Complete Physical, Mental, and Social Well-being Spiritual Heritage Education Network Inc. (SHEN) 's educational offerings in the Neurobiology of Transformation are designed to help learners awaken the full potential inherent in every human being. Our curricula directly address the evolutionary forces that limit this potential. The World Health Organization defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (WHO Constitution, 1948). The same evolutionary forces that restrict human potential also prevent humanity from achieving this holistic vision of health across its physical, mental, and social dimensions. These evolutionary forces autonomously shape our neurobiology—our body and brain—at birth, establishing the default state of our being. Human beings can remain confined to this default state, or we can consciously choose to transcend the autonomic evolutionary patterns that shaped us. Among all forms of life, only humanity possesses this capacity for intentional transformation. Conventional healthcare applies the health sciences medically to treat disease and infirmity. In contrast, our Neurobiology of Transformation applies the health sciences non-medically, using the human body and brain with conscious intentionality. This approach transforms the very foundations of our neurobiology, enabling the realization of “complete physical, mental and social well-being” and supporting lives that are happy, healthy, harmonious, peaceful, and purposeful. Fulfilling our teaching mission requires us to remain at the forefront of scientific research on how conscious intentionality can shape and elevate human neurobiology. |
