Muraqaba (meditation) is an ancient practice used by Sufis to cultivate an insight of spiritual oneness of God’s diverse universe. According to ancient Sufi wisdom, such an insight creates an inner ambiance conducive to a state of holistic wellness of the practitioner. It also contributes significantly to harmony of the practitioner’s community. Modern research affirms this wisdom.

Aneela Azeemi’s presentation identifies alarming factors resulting from the drifting away of humanity from the basic metaphysics of diverse existence emerging from noor (light) created by Allah as its first principle. Practice of Muraqaba results in inner peace reconnecting us with Allah’s noor, the Self at our very core that deeply interconnects the whole of creation.

Only peaceful minds can restore peace outside enabling the pursuit of common good and resolution of grave human and environmental problems of global scale haunting us today.
